Thanks to Ewa Sikorska, today we know a little more about Marina Oboskaya, number 2 of the amateur elite ranking in Bikini Fitness in the 2018 season, who has an incredible track record.
In our magazine you can read the interview in full, but we advance some of the responses of the Ukrainian athlete.
EWA: Hello Marina, I’m glad to meet you and talk to you. Tell us more about your fitness history and how you got here.
Marina: Hello, Ewa. I really like sports. All my life I have been practicing: dance, gymnastics, etc. But it was not enough to get the body of my dreams. Then I decided to go to the gym. The coach offered to participate in the competitions because he thought he could get good results. My bikini fitness presentation was in 2014; Since then, I’m still in this class of competitions.
EWA: Your trainer had a good eye. It sounds like a story about the Bikini Elite Pro as Paula Mocior. She worked as a receptionist at a gym when one day she was seen by a local coach who was impressed by her form. A week later, Paula climbed the competition platform.
Marina: Unbelievable, but sometimes it happens and shows how positive it is to find a good coach.
EWA: Marina, what motivated you in the past and what motivates you now?
Marina: My motivation in the past was to have a nice body, like the models on magazine covers. Now I also want to be an example for many other people, I want to motivate them and share with them my experience and my knowledge.
EWA: See how everything changed Now that you have become a role model for many, you can say that it is another type of success. What is your greatest victory?
Marina: My greatest success is that I was able to prove to myself that I am capable of turning my dreams into reality. It was my triumph in the European and World Championships, when the whole world listened to the national anthem of my country.
EWA: Do you have a training partner?
Marina: Honestly no.
EWA: Why? Do you think it’s reserved only for bodybuilders?
Marina: Most of the time I train alone. I think it’s a good idea to have a good partner, but not all of them can be. The training partner should be as motivated as you, be able to perform the function of “observation”, be reliable, work hard and be able to make sacrifices for the common goal.
