WHAT IS IBERIAN HAM?
Iberian ham is a product made from the meat of Iberian pigs, which are only raised in the fields of Spain and Portugal, basically in the areas around Extremadura. It differs from Serrano ham in that the latter is made with white pork meat, generally raised in intensive farms and using feed-based food. On their side, the Iberian pig of the highest quality (also called acorn-fed) only receives acorns collected from acorn trees. There are some other hams, also under the name of Iberian that may present some differences.
