WHAT IS THERE TO KNOW ABOUT SLEEPING?
- Having a “siesta” or being able to nod off throughout the day isn’t a good thing. This means we have an issue with getting a desirable sleep or in other words, we may be able to nod off whenever but our rest will be full of interruptions and that’s not good for us.
- How often do we hear someone asking if we got a good night’s sleep and we answer “yes, I have slept for 8 hours” despite waking up feeling tired and with the feeling we haven’t really rested. This means we didn’t have a restful sleep.
- Lots of people think that as an adult 5 hours of sleep is enough, this is a huge mistake, an adult needs between 7 and 9 hours.
- Snoring doesn’t mean deep sleep, it just means our air pipe is partially obstructed and its sometimes related to sleep apnea, a condition that must be treated by your doctor.
WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF A NON RESTFUL SLEEP?
We will find it hard to focus on one task, logical thinking will become harder and well be in a bad mood making it much harder to overcome any kind of situation.
HOW BENEFICIAL IS A RESTFUL SLEEP?
Our creativity will be increased, we will find it easier to focus on things, we will be in a better mood and this will help the way we relate to people, it’s also essential when fighting depression or anxiety.
