E: Hi Paula, Have you ever been in Spain?
P: Oh yes, around 5-6 times. My first time was competition, unfortunately not holidays 😉 it was European Championships in Santa Susanna (may 2015), and the same year Arnold Classic Europe Sept. in Barcelona. Other times I ve been traveling with my boyfriend Piotr Borecki, who compete in bodybuilding up to 85kg or 90kg.
E: Well, thats mean that non of latino has a chance to conquer your heart?;)
P: Ha, ha! Definitely no:)
E: This year is not finished yet, and you can proudly say „I won everything”, isn’t it?
P: It been only several weeks ago (Feb 2018) when I won my Elite Pro card in Dominican Republic. This moment was a breakthrough in my fitness carrier! I honestly admit I worked last 5 years to put my body in perfect bikini fitness shape to get it (the card) and I realized my biggest dream! It was my goal.
E: When you begun to think about to compete?
P: Well, long time ago I didn’t plan my fitness future. I worked on reception desk at the gym, I like to keep my body in good condition (workout) for myself , and one day a personal trainer who worked at gym said „Paula, you are in shape to go on stage in one week!”. I was bewildered and I didn’t know what to do, but I have trusted him and I did it! I had one week to prepare shoes, bikini costume and learn how to pose. I don’t regret anything. I placed 5th, but it was the best lesson in fitness life-stage for me.
E: It was Polish Championships, one of the most important to get qualified to European Championships
P: Yes, the next step are World Championships and prestigious Arnold Classic Europe Championships in Spain.
E: Ok, but what your desired Elite Pro card gives you now? What has changed after you get it?
P: Everything. This is different class. Organization and preparation of contests its a high level. I get the feeling that we have better treatment. it begins in the moment when presidents of national federations invite us (elite pro competitors) for the shows, and goes through the welcome service at the airport (she means somebody pick them up from airport and drop up in the hotel), sometimes we have paid the hotel too (ex.in Brasil), there is no high annual fee, the cost is reasonable. (she means they don’t pay expensive price/fee).
E: What about your rivals, do you have a favorite one? 😉
P: haha, there is a lot of beautiful girls on the backstage, everyone is unique, has own facial expression and play with body to get a judge sight on.
E: Be honest, when you look at the mirror, do you want to change something?
P: A lot
P: Yes, a bit bigger and little defined quads and glutes, although I cant complain to much about them 😉 I am not tall too, but this I have to accept:)
E: What are you doing in daily life?
P: The answer is simple, I am a personal trainer now. This is my life style. I do what I love. I give also posing classes to the future competitors and anyone who wants to do it better. Fitness is my path.
E: Amazing. I remember that time, when I’ve been competing in European Championships in Croatia. After come back the next important topic after cold analyzing what I did wrong and good on the stage, was calling all the memories related to trip, people, farewell banquet, city and feelings.
P: Yes, this is something what nobody will take from us, from me. The fitness journey, photographs, and pride what I did. What we did.
E: Paula, give a tip how to become bikini star?
P: First at all, make sure if this is really sport for you, gives you satisfaction and smile on the face. The worst is when competitiors do it at all cost and as fast as possible. Wrong. Second tip: do be afraid to go on stage first time. It will be gold lesson for you. you know how you feel, you see yourself in comparetion with others, you see your weak points in posing. You can get a lot information about yorself, what to focus on and what to correct.
E: And dont forget to make video record of yourself!
E: Last question. What is the most important in life?
P: Health and Love.
E: Paula, Fingers crossed to your next contest in Malta 6- 8 April! Good luck
P: Thank you and best regards to all the readers of M&F.
