The 33 years old well-known Bikini Champion from Spain Lina Bejarano Real last autumn season became IFBB Europe Champion for the second time and IFBB World Champion in amateur level, but she didn’t stop!
Kristina: You were a very successful athlete at amateur level! But now you moved to Elite Pro. Your debut was at Arnold Classic Europe Elite Pro and Elite Pro World Championship where you achieved an amazing result – a bronze medal. What result did you expect before the show? And how does it feel to become a Top 3 in the world?
Lina: To be honest I didn’t go with the expectation I was going to be in the top 5 because that was my first professional championship but I have very clear what I was looking for, so I simply enjoyed since the first minute that I stepped in the stage. How am I feeling? I am feeling like I’m floating on a cloud. It has been a hard year for all of us and to compete against the bests of the world is the wish all athletes have. I believe in myself and all my potential because it is one of the most important things that we need to take care of.
Kristina: How your physique changed since you started training? Has sport changed your personality and character?
Lina: Incredible, I passed from being a tremendous skinny girl and insecure to whole grown women full of energy. Yes, absolutely sport changed my inside too… I am in a stage of my life where equilibrium is the fundamental base of all my purposes. Now I consider myself a more responsible, disciplined and devoted person.
Kristina: How your diet looks like? (prep and off-season). Do you have cheat meals or days?
Lina: My diet, I count with the help of one of the best trainers of Spain Juande Romero, he’s a person who knows my body from the top to the bottom, so he knows how to manage each stage bringing the nutrients needed for each occasion. I have to confess that my diet during competition is much stricter but without affecting me in an emotional way.
Kristina: What would you like to improve in your physique for future competitions?
Lina: It’s an evolution set, anyone that is the change, always and whoever is positive, is Welcomed.
Kristina: Where do you plan to compete next? What is your goal in sport?
Lina: I’m thinking of starting my season in April “Malta. We don’t have it clear due to the whole situation that we are going through, but it is in my plans. I have accomplished most of my sports objectives. Now I am feeling like I have been born again but in the professional league, becoming one of the best athletes in the world and being a part of sports history in Spain and why not the whole world. It is and it will be one of my major wishes.
