M&H: When did you start competing in fitness and why?
Marilena: I started training in fitness at a young age. My focus for 12 years was on gymnastics, as well as other sports such as track and field, volleyball, basketball and martial arts. At the age of 22, I became involved in weightlifting. After training for three years and making unbelievable gains, my coach recommended I participate in a competition. The reason I started competing and continue to do so is my strong desire to develop the best version of myself. To see how far I can go and to achieve all the things I have dreamed about. I had a great curiosity to learn about the fitness industry and wanted to see how I could develop and become a part of it.

On the contrary, my weakness is sometimes my temperament and what can be trivial, can easily ruin my mood.
M&H: What is your fitness goal?
Marilena: My fitness goal is to stay as mentally and physically healthy as possible. To constantly improve and show my best performance every time I step on stage. I want to gain recognition in the sport and really stand out in the fitness industry.
